All Packo model milk cooling tanks can be up graded to the current “Dolphin” Eco-Wash system.
1995 was the year the first LEM/DX model Packo milk cooling tank appeared on the Australian market, incorporating a fully automatic computerised wash system. The start of the revolution in milking and cooling standards
Years down the track existing users can benefit from the advantage of the Packo system. Our tanks are designed with fore thought in mind; a new wash / cooling control center up grade is just a matter of x4 bolts and a few connections away from being the current standard.
The benefit of the current “Dolphin” Eco-Wash system compared to earlier systems is technology. Technology means that current systems are cheaper to maintain and do more for your dollars. Earlier systems had complex computer cards while the current system is one small printed circuit board under the keypad. Current systems are also robotic milking compatible.
“Packo had the future in mind all those years ago. Bolt a new Dolphin on your existing Packo tank and you can have the future today with the- Dolphin Eco-Wash- cooling & washing control center"

Advanced User Friendly Cooling & Washing Control Center
Increasing demands are placed on the modern day dairy farmer. More efficient management of quality regulations and standards, demand increasingly compliant production processes. This implies that the modern day dairy farmer must keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of information technology. As an active contributor in this field, Packo have developed the latest and advanced user friendly “Dolphin” control center. This allows farmers to monitor the most important asset- Milk.
The control unit is equipped with a large, graphic LCD display. This feature allows you to simultaneously check the current temperature and the functions carried out by the controller at any given moment. Primary functions that can be monitored include cooling, agitating and cleaning. ![]()
The control unit is easy to operate. The finger touch menu leads you through the various functions step by step. On a user level, only one button needs to be activated to operate either cooling, washing or agitation
The Dolphin activates an alarm signal via an on screen message, if the slightest irregularity in cooling or washing modes is detected. This allows the user to intervene instantly, to protect your most valuable asset.
The Dolphin can be equipped with the latest GSM mobile phone communication module. This feature will send an SMS message to the user if a problem is detected.
The Dolphin is equipped with a fully automatic logbook. This feature allows the user and service mechanic to see the latest history of cooling and washing modes. If an error occurs, the history keeps this information on file.
The Dolphin control system enables control not just for the milk tank and within, but ultimately for the protection of your business and income.
The "Dolphin"Eco-Wash System
All Australian models of Packo milk cooling tanks are equipped with the top of the range “Dolphin Eco-wash”. The Eco-wash is designed for Australian conditions and regulations. Our farmers demand fast wash times, and Packo delivers with a system that meets all milk factory standards while preserving the cleanliness of a bacteria free tank.
The Eco-wash comes complete with x3 fitted chemical dosage pumps that deliver upon demand, acid, detergent and sanitizer. The advanced feature of the Eco-wash automatically alternates the acid and detergent main wash chemicals, every time the system is activated for washing. This feature takes away the confusion of having to switch the chemicals after every wash cycle.
Prime buttons are located above each chemical pump to allow the user to prime the chemical to the pump when changing the storage chemical drum.
Behind the main control panel lays the secret to fast wash times. The Eco-wash utilizes a water storage cylinder that holds the pre-rinse water that is used to flush the initial milk residue out of the tank. Water fills the cylinder and is then drawn out though the wash pump in a series of quick blasts. All milk residues leave the mainvessel, prior to the main cleaning cycles. While the tank is cleaning, water fills the vessel awaiting the next cycle. This all equates to fast and thorough cleaning.
For peace of mind Packo Eco-wash systems come standard, with override systems. The x2 dials fitted near the dosage pumps override the computer so the cooling compressor or the wash pump can be started. Due to dairy farmers being located in out laying areas away from service technicians, these overrides assist the user to enable either cooling or washing in the event of a breakdown. Just another hidden feature of the Eco-wash!!!
