Milk Pasteurisers - Batch Pasteuriser

You are here

For smaller quantities of milk, you can use a BATCH PASTEURISER to pasteurise the raw milk.  The aim of pasteurisation is to kill all pathogenic bacteria.

The PACKO batch pasteuriser is especially designed for small production units.

The pasteuriser forms, on its own, a complete small processing plant which enables the processing of raw milk into pasteurised consumption milk, yoghurt and other fermented milk products, fresh and hard cheese.

The batch pasteuriser can also be used to pasteurise fresh cream.

This unit will form the heart of your new processing plant, or will be a perfect extension for your existing line.

The standard vessel is designed for the pasteurisation of raw milk and the production of consumption milk.   Installing a more reinforced agitator, the batch pasteuriser can be used for the production of yoghurt, fresh cheese or other fermented products.

In case of the production of hard cheese & soft cheese, we provide a special agitator and cutting device.

Controls:

·         Control box is installed on the side of tank (easy use during operation)

·         Electrical components in a painted steel closed control box with main switch and bulbs:

·         Red (alarm): problems with temperature controller, thermal failure agitator, pump, heating,…

·         Green: end of program or program in operation

·         Orange: open cover, intervention of the operator

Digital controls:

·         Based on the Dolphin controls of the milk cooling tanks

·         With this control it is possible to use the batch pasteurizer as milk cooling tank, when connecting ice water to the PHE

·         LCD-screen

·         User friendly

·         Finger touch menu

Possible to pre-program 4 programs, e.g:

    • Program 1: pasteurisation of milk
    • Program 2: production of yoghurt
    • Within each program, there are 10 phases, e.g.:

o        Program 1: pasteurisation of milk

à     Phase 1: heating to the set temperature

à     Phase 2: holding of the set temperature for a preset time

à     Phase 3: cooling of the pasteurized milk with mains water until a preset temperature

à     Phase 4: cooling of the pasteurized milk with ice water until the final temperature

o        Program 2: production of yoghurt

à     Phase 1: heating to the set temperature

à     Phase 2: holding of the set temperature for a preset time

à     Phase 3: cooling to the preset incubation temperature

à     Phase 4: holding of the incubation temperature for a preset time

à     Phase 5: cooling of the yoghurt to the final temperature

Within each phase, it is possible to set different parameters:

1         Phase active/non active

2         Heating ä, cooling æ, holding of the temperature à

3         Medium: electrical/steam/warm water/mains water/ice water

4         Set temperature (°C)

5         Temperature not obtained after … (time in hours and minutes)

6         Set time: only when holding the temperature (hours and minutes)

7         Agitator: on/off/pulse-pause

8         Agitator: forward/backward (only for the cheese vessel)

9         Pulse time  (hours and minutes)

10       Pause time (hours and minutes)

11       Speed agitator: fixed/variable (only if frequency controlled)

12       Confirmation of the operator to proceed to another phase (on/off)

13       Buzzer end phase (on/off)

14       Back to the level of the program

Besides the programs, there are also the following screens:

o        Read process logging: possibility to check all executed phases and programs

o        Customer menu (with password)

o        Packo menu (with password)

o        Setting of language

o        Setting of the possible heating and cooling media

o        Factory parameters

o        Machine selection: batch pasteurizer or cheese vessel

o        Frequency control: on/off

o        Debug menu

o        Logging of process- and error files

o        Change of date

o        Change of time

o       Actual temperature

o       Batch number

o       Program number

o       Phase number

o       Medium

o       Action

o       Set temperature

o       Agitator settings

o       Remaining time (only with holding of temperature)

o       Set holding time

Cheese Version

In case of the production of cheese (fresh and ripened cheese), the standard batch pasteurizer is foreseen with a special agitator and cutting device.

Differences in comparison with standard MILK version:

·    Cover in 2 parts (no proximity switch)

·    Agitator motor frequency controlled (speed regulation) and turning in left/right direction

·    Agitator blade with a normal blade used for the pasteurization of the milk and with a cutting device for the cheese production

·    Whey screen for easy whey evacuation
