Cleaning In Place (CIP)
What is good cleaning?
Hygiene is an essential factor in the processing of food products. This requires a good and controlled cleaning or/and sterilisation of processing equipment and lines. Packo offers a complete range of mobile and fixed CIP. Whatever system you choose, you can always count on optimal performance; minimal water use ensures a minimal strain on the environment.
Reliable cleaning systems are essential for all processing industries: in particular food for human and animal consumption, pharmaceutical industries. The results of cross contamination can be dangerous and costly.
What is CIP, Cleaning In Place?
CIP involves the systematic cleaning of pipelines and equipment between process runs. The purpose of function is to circulate cleaning solutions without dismantling process equipment or its components.
Being a systematic process, little or no manual work is involved. High pressure, increased turbulence and flow velocity enable all surfaces to be cleaned. A typical cleaning cycle involves pre-rinse with cold water, washing sequence with different cleaning solutions of caustic, acid or disinfectant separated by a rinse, followed by a hot or cold rinse. The residual is drained with the possibility of recycling of cleaning solutions, the final stage involves drying.
Which CIP is right for the job?
To operate effectively the CIP system you use must be right for the apparatus/ equipment at hand. For smaller processes the Packo PMC series is designed to for flexibility: ready to plug in, connections via flexible hoses, compact and manoeuvrable design.
